Effective Circle Cutting to add Paper Filters to Espresso
A Guide to Cutting the Filter
I tried the paper filter method to improve extraction in an espresso shot by adding an Aeropress filter to the bottom. There are two things to add this paper filter to your espresso routine without adding too much time:
- Wash and reuse the cut filter. This is promoted by the inventor of the Aeropress.
- Fold the filter a few times to cut once as seen below. This might take a few iterations, but it makes getting the right sized circle a bit easier.
Enjoy!
