How much I got paid for 600k+ views on Medium
This is 100% Clickbait
I recently pulled all my statistics on all my articles because I wanted to see from a global view how my articles performed. I usually keep up with my stats on a weekly basis, and if something is blowing up, I like to track it more frequently. However, I haven’t looked at overall performance since I started on medium.
To be completely upfront, I got paid $0, which is why the subtitle says this is 100% clickbait (I was being upfront and honest). I didn’t meter most of articles because I was more interested in sharing knowledge especially about espresso and coffee. I don’t know how this affected my view count, but I preferred it this way. I also didn’t like the pressure of having to care about how I was perceived because it would affect my pocketbook. I have a day job that I enjoy and that pays well, so this was very much a hobby for me.
However, I wanted to breakdown views over these years and take a look at trends. Here are my totals for views, reads, likes, and comments:
